actually, she's not the one who maintain the barrier (being a part-timer that is) but rather, the Barrier knight and the head priest did. but since Yukari sent Otoha(the barrier knight) to Reimu era Gensokyo to 'Recollect' her memories, someone must do the job.
after that, the... uh.. well, looks like i should start write the literature already...
When I write Touhou, I write the Touhous, and several other characters, as living in the same universe as that That Guy With the Glasses stuff. Thus, the events of "To Boldly Flee" affects them.
